This is Miss Molly. She's my first attempt at a human-ish doll, which was, as everyone says about making dolls, much harder than I thought! I like the general shape--I wanted super long limbs, but the head and neck were hard to get right for shape (she looks a little frog-like to me, or maybe ET-like!). And I really struggled with the face and hair too. Animal creatures are much more forgiving!
Even with all her wonkiness, we'll take her into our home with loving arms. (I hope she'll forgive me for all the things I've said about her, and especially for photographing her in the stinky, dirty "dog corner" of the house--it had the only light in the house!)
The sewing machine is obviously "back"....all that waiting and trying to keep things neat just wasn't working for me. So now, I've been sewing, and there's a mess...sure to bring on labor, right?
