It's about to rain here in Halifax. It's still chilly but the birds are back in full force. On my walk to the bus this morning I saw many anxious cats sitting in windowsills and staring at the bird-filled trees! Spring is definitly making her comeback!

How lovely! We don't get snow etc here, but make up for it with the darkest of days: our days are shortening, we are 'heading in'- and currently enjoying each crisp, sunny autumn day as though it is the last.

...and stocking up on waterproofs for the crawling baby...

Thanks for the reminder of childhood, I had those EXACT daisy sheets when I was a little girl. My grandmother loved that comapny's stuff, I want to say that it was called Una, or Ula or something.

We had several sets of the daisy sheets.

We have one last day of joyful spring-time skiing here this afternoon. It's a great way to say "goodbye" to snow. Inside we've got bulbs blooming and grass growing for Easter (started it a little too early). We'll be putting on the mudboots and visiting sugar houses this weekend--hopefully in lighter jackets.
