The amount of time spent practicing for fiddle lessons has turned out to be equal to the amount of time spent preparing the 'coolest fiddling outfit ever' for each lesson. Ah, but yes. All is as it should be.

He, he...that hat is killing me. Your kiddos have so much personality that shows up in every part of them (including wardrobe). How to you ever get out of the house? I think I'd just hole up (is that a Southern term?) and smooch on them all day long. Great photos!
Well I have been sitting in the background quietly reading all your blogs for a couple of months now. This is the first time I have commented. I love your blog! You are such an inspiration. It has such a happiness to it, always making me smile:)
ezra, that is exactly what the coolest fiddlers in the world look like. i'm not kidding, there are tons of fiddlers down here in north carolina and someday i hope you can come down and play with them. i hope you learn to love it more and more each day.
My husband is a recording engineer and a musician, so we know piles of musicians. Mr. Cool Hat would have fit right in on stage with my husband's band during their performance last week. In fact, he may even be cooler than them.
What a classy guy! They say the clothes make the man... I'd have to say that's certainly so in this case. I bet his fiddling is as sharp as his outfit.
Check out pictures Barrage's concerts - http://www.barrage.ca/vtshow/sights.html - they are awesome! If you ever can see them in concert or get a recording of a production, you & your kids have to see this!
Sooooo coool! Just awesome. Here's a hallo from Norway to Ezra; I think you are very cool, and I hope my son will be just as cool as you are! Hope you all have a wonderful week end.

Wow - that is one seriously cool fiddling outfit. I love it! Perhaps it'll serve as inspiration for me to construct an equally cool saxophone outfit for when I lay - such fun!
The scarf kills me! You have such a great sense of style, Ezra! I'm really jealous because there's no way I could pull off that outfit. You've inspired me to come up with my own "coolest knitter ever" outfit. I'll keep you posted!
Please pass on to Ezra that his outfit is absolutely scrumptuous! But now that he's found the coolest fiddling outfit ever, does that mean he'll spend more time practicing, or will just try to outdo himself next time?
oh my oh my. absolutely adorable. and to continue on with my fellow north carolinians comments above, this weekend is actually the 1st Annual Hoppin’ John Old-Time & Bluegrass Fiddlers’ Convention right here in Chatham County. i look forward to seeing ezra in his very own spotlight down here in the future!

Those are some seriously rad pants. He's a real gem!

I've got a fiddling daughter and I think a hat like that would help her play better not to mention a pair of turquoise pants like Ezra's.

If the Beatles (what better definition of timeless cool) had had a fiddler, he would have looked just like you Ezra.

the cuteness here is absolutely killing me!

My uncle is a world-class fiddler and I think he has the same outfit. I'm serious!
(He also lives in North Carolina as in Colleen's comment above. funny)
I hope Ezra enjoys playing! He certainly looks the part.

You tell him that when I saw the photo, I knew right away that it was the world's coolest fiddler... and one of the world's coolest kids too.
My James is far more interested in practicing his "game face" than he is in working on his soccer skills. I think he has his priorities straight :-)

Truly priceless!
Posted by: Plumtickled | September 21, 2007 at 10:33 AM
I love it! Did you have a "coolest ever fiddeling outfit" too?

This is exciting for me; I studied violin for more than a dozen years.
My outfit? I was the girl in the orchestra with a mohawk. That says it all. ;)
Ah, to be a teen again! Or, a tot!
