a shop update!
The Shop is stocked! Phew (and my apologies again for yesterday's miss)! This will be my last update until a holiday one in late November. But today, you'll find corduroy smocks in two sizes - Small (18 mos to 3 yrs) and Large (3 to 6 yrs). Each is embroidered with a bit of autumn on linen - no two are alike, of course.
And you'll also find a new project for me - linen quilts! One in a child's take-along size, and one bigger - 'grownup' if you will - version. I can't tell you the fun I've had putting these together - the embroidery and quilting on each was really a delight. And I must say it was fun to work on a project to sell that spanned many days of work, during which time I let my imagination run wild dreaming up where they would be and where they would go on their adventure once made. Seaside picnics, mountain hikes, cozy winter couch snuggles, and so very much more. Me? I think a good fall morning cup of coffee and read with one would be just heavenly. Well, it was. Quite heavenly.

Beautiful stuff...perfect for fall projects with the kiddies and cuddling time together...off to browse the shop!

That last picture is so wonderful, book worthy I'd say! I love how the toes of your new shoes got wet on your way to the spot.
The quilt is wonderful too!

Lovely Amanda. I love that bird quilt. So adorable. Makes me want to piece a cozy quilt right now that it's getting cooler in the Pacific Northwest.

Oh, Amanda, you have outdone yourself. It is all just lovely, lovely, lovely.
I got on Etsy a couple of minutes before noon to watch as you stocked your shop. It was so exciting to look at one thing, come back to your storefront and see that you had added one or two more. The smocks are just absolutely divine. Such love, care, and thought put into every thing you make. I am drooling over all of it.

when i peeked in at your shop and saw the smocks an hour-or-so ago, i had to catch my breath. now to see the quilts - the flock, the stars, the quilting and embroidery - i have to somehow peel myself off the floor.
your creations are simply amazing, amanda!

I've never used natural linen for quilts before. Where do you purchase yours?
I love the two quilts you've put together. There is something so satisfying about projects that take awhile. I think it gives you time to attach to it instead of just turn it out and send it off.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Amanda
Those treasures are so wonderful. The quilt is absolutely stunning. Cozy, like a summers day - dappled with sunlight, warm around your shoulders, lots of peace and mama love. (Isn't it funny, I also noticed your yellow shoes. But I remember when you were wishing for them, maybe that's why I noticed. Nice color balance for the photo.)

Beautiful. It's all beautiful. Lucky lucky families that get to give a home to those quilts and lucky kids who get to romp around in those smocks. I bet they're soft to touch and smell of a beutiful fresh summer's day too.

Really cute stuff! It sucks that one has to be well-off to afford beautiful handmade stuff. I can't wait until arthritis is no longer an issue for me so I too can make quilts! It is one of my goals and I do feel inspired and motivated by this blog. :) Not to sell, but so that I can give them as gifts. :)

Amanda.
I'm sure you get posts everyday from people who have just discovered your blog and fallen in love, so forgive the repetitiveness.
I just have to share that some nasty life circumstances have had me in a real depression the past two months, but finding and reading your blog has sparked life and joy in me again. You make me want to live, and live well.
God did a great great thing when He made you...
