(You'll notice few pictures of the boys here - because, you see, I can never find them at the farm.)

Great photos Amanda! And what a wonderful place to be able to just let your boys go...exploring all that there is to see at the farm. Must be like heaven for them. Happy Wednesday to you all!
I often can't find mine at OUR farm either! too many cool places to run and explore. I love the one of your determined little girl in the last one, seeming unwilling to give up carrying the bag that's as big as she is.
how fUN!
i would love to know if you scrapbook at all? and if you do, can we see some of your pages???!
i would love to see pages with fabric and vintage trims!!!!

Love that "who's your farmer" sticker. And film, yeah, there's something about it. I feel like I try harder and am more involved when I use film. When I worked at a camera shop, I developed my film and that's just a whole other story. It's all about the light. Love your pictures.
Great pictures! Have to ask...how are you liking the "gluten-free girl" on your reading list? We have many food allergies over here and gluten is one of them. Is it mostly baking? I've purchased so many gluten free cookbooks, only to find out that they are a bit impractical and take forever to make. Thanks :)
bluebirdbaby - I'm working up a review of Gluten-Free Girl to post next week. But I will tell you now that it's an AMAZING book. So very much more than a "Gluten-Free Cookbook" - with beautiful stories and beautiful food. I think you'll love it!
very fun! I haven't taken a film photo since I got my first digital camera almost 6 years ago! I forgot how different of a feel film images have. Love it. :)
Thanks Amanda - you've brought back precious memories from over 30 years ago - I'm still crafting (quiltmaking) but without all the blessed interruptions nowadays.
Your photos have captured so beautifully the light and the colours of the eastern seaboard, and speak to the heart of a neighbour slightly to the north over the Gulf of Maine.....
great pictures....my kids disappear when we hit anywhere that has trees or shrubbery too.
a really good friend of mine had issues with her children and had them tested (not the blood tests) for gluten and celiac disease...a lot of mess in their family but she has transitioned well into gluten and dairy free.
my local library has a wealth of books....i even checked out one that was titled something like french deserts gluten free or something like that....man those pictures of those recipes made my mouth water.
so far the only switch we have made is gluten free spaghetti noodles because of lack of brain power at the moment for me. ha!

Those pics are so much fun, Amanda!! I JUST took one 2 days ago of our yellow dump truck filled with red cabbage starts...kooky! And I love Calvin's hair!!<3
I just want to say that the way you capture miss Adelaide, she is just so cute, beautiful, wholesome and squeezable. I just want to pick her up for a kiss and hug and let her wiglly, all grown up self down and watch her toddle off exploring more. I can just here her mind going. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and the cheer it brings to me.

I love that last photo! It looks as if Calvin is trying to help A. with her bag and she's all "I CAN DO IT MYSELF THANK YOU" :)

I love the top one -- gorgeous composition -- it would make a lovely print (hang on the wall type of print, I mean).

I love the beautiful grain in these. I love Calvin's hair. I am totally whisked away into nostalgia by those pink elephant watering cans. Gorgeous.

Same with mine at our CSA...he's exploring the moment we step in the gate. Also loves to ogle "our" farmer on the tractor ;-) Beautiful pics.

beautiful photos as always, Amanda... looks like it was a glorious day on the farm.

Oh, but what a wonderful place to loose track of them here and there :) That big yellow dump truck brings back SO many memories.
Posted by: Toni | October 10, 2007 at 12:23 PM
We have the same scene in our backyard of the old dirty dump truck surrounded by plenty of beautiful purple amaranth too!
We frequently farm-hop over here in Sonoma, CA, isn't it fun? My three year old has a blast exploring everything.

I adore these pictures, really beautiful and full of the feelings of the end of a season

Those photographs are gorgeous. They look like pictures from another era. My favourite is the dusty little toes in dusty little sandals.
