Happy Anniversary Week Sweety!!

Yeah.  You guessed it.  This is me on my hands and knees digging up the blueberry bush where I lost my wedding ring, earlier this summer.  You're right, I know.  I should have gotten it resized rather than wear it on my pinkie.  That's behind us now and the blueberries are gone and here I am looking intently for my ring.  Under the blueberry bush.  Although, I think I might need a metal detector.  The one Calvin made, by duct taping a refrigerator magnet to a stick, isn't working.  Anyway...

I love what you create.  As a Mama,  As a Wife,  As my Best Friend...

I love you.

What a sweet post. Hope you find the ring!!! Happy Anniversary!

Ah, what a beautiful sentiment. And what a beautiful couple you are too.
Good luck finding the ring!

Something about this image is so beautiful...down to the self-made metal detector! Good luck!

Happy Anniversary, Soules! Here's to many more!

Lost wedding ring or no, you're a good man, Mr. Soule. Happy anniversary to the both of you.

Happy Anniversary Amanda and Steve!

Fatty lost his wedding ring on a ski lift...

I can't believe Calvin's detector doesn't work; I'm sure it's your fault and you don't know how to use it :-)

dang dingity. There you go again getting me all weepy.

Somehow it really seems it must be more than seven... You two "go together" quite well indeed. Best wishes!

You are not the only husband to loose a wedding ring. For sure. Happy anniversary week!

Hey, what is it with you men and not having your rings resized (and why are you all losing weight on our - plural - good cooking)? My husband lost his while shoveling years ago for the same reason...but have no fear one day he went out to the car and there it was just waiting for him. It will come back ... just wait and see.
Awww Amanda you are just LOVED!

So funny. My sweetie lost his wedding ring (again) this summer butchering some of our roosters. The first time was eight years ago in the cold Atlantic Ocean. He is wearing a $6 silver one now.

Happy anniversary, Soules. If ever a couple were made for each other, it's you two.

Beautiful... Happy Anniversary!

wishing you many happy returns of the day. and one return of the ring. happy, happy!

Happy Anniversary! Ring or no ring, there is love here, and that's all that matters.

beautiful! (can't think of any other words here, i think this suffices)

ahhh sweetness. happy seven years! and i hope you find the ring! (but if i ever went to go be lost, it'd be under a blueberry bush for sure!)

Happy Anniversary!!! You and Amanda are quite a special couple. May you have many many more glorious years ahead of you.

Happy Anniversary to a wonderful couple!
Did you find the ring? A few weeks after being married I dropped my wedding band into fresh snow!?! It disappeared quickly b/c it was still snowing and I wasn't sure where it slipped off my pinkie.... My dear husband boiled water and kept melting the snow until it was found.

What a beautiful sentiment. Happy Anniversary to you both! I hope you have a wonderful week.

GOOD LUCK finding your ring!

Happy, happy anniversary!

Swoon. Hope that ring turns up for you, Papa!

Happy Anniversary! I'm sorry to say that the magnet probably won't help all that much since gold isn't very magnetic...at least that's the explanation I was given when I tried to find a ring I lost in the woods behind my house as a kid. Good luck finding the ring! Nothing beats determination!

so sweet! ring or no ring, may your anniversary week be as love filled as this post.

Best wishes to you both for a very Happy Anniversary! *Good luck on finding your ring, SoulePapa...

This is just one of the sweetest posts I've ever read! You are a keeper, Mr Soule, that's for sure, and Mrs is a lucky woman indeed. Hope you found your ring... Happy Anniversary to you both!!

good luck

Sigh....how sweet!

Happy Anniversary!! My hubby has about 7 wedding bands in our safe...all from this one marriage of ours...he's forever changing his wedding band. LOL

Happy Anniversary, you two! I just listened to Amanda's podcast a couple of days ago and loved the story of how you two met.
I've lost my wedding ring twice from wearing it on my pinkie instead of having it resized. Once was at a winter solstice bonfire where the boys and I were making snowballs with our bare hands and throwing them into the fire, roasting them like marshmallows. The fire was big enough to where it kept being scooted in smaller with a the bucket of a tractor as the pile burned down. Fortunately the ring didn't get pushed in along with it and the next morning, someone saw a small silver circle shining in the sun on the black ashes.
About a year later, around a campfire at our house, we were joking that I still hadn't gotten it resized and the next morning my ring was missing again. I poked around in the snow around the fire and then borrowed a metal dectector from a friend and found it right away, right where I'd been looking.
Apparently the cold weather was shrinking my fingers just enough to let the ring fall off easily.
Also, about 10-12 years ago, I lost my grandmother's wedding ring off of my pointer finger while picking huckleberries in a park in Seattle. I still had an idea approximately where I was when it fell off so just this August, I finally went back to go "treasure hunting" with the boys and their kids' metal detector from Target but to no avail, and to no real surprise either, but wouldn't it have been cool to find it????
Whenenver I think of my grandmother's ring, I also think of the scene from Harold and Maude where she throws the coin he's just given to her out into the water and says, "So all always know where it is." Alternatively, maybe it's been long ago squirreled away into a nest by some shiny-object loving critter or found and kept by some other person?
Almost another year later and I still haven't had my own wedding ring resized but wear it around my neck instead.
Happy searching! If not, at least you'll "know where it is" and can think of it while you're picking and eating blueberries?

*sniff*

lucky, lucky - both of you!

happy anniversary!

xx

Happy Anniversary! And to many more (with or without the ring).

Happy anniversary! My husband lost his wedding ring 3 years ago, on our honeymoon! We were on a snorkeling trip in Key West and when he got back on the boat, he was sitting over the edge taking off his flippers and it slipped right off, into the ocean. He turned to me and said "uh oh" and I said "what? did you drop your flipper?" and he said "Uh...worse..." and showed me his hand. I couldn't believe we'd only been married 3 days and he already lost it! The diving instructor told him to jump in and find it and my husband said "No, YOU jump in and find it!!!" So he did and managed to grab it before it sunk into the sand underneath the boat, thank goodness! I hope your ring story has a similarly happy ending!

Happy Anniversary :-)

Sweet post! Happy Anniversary you two!!

How romantic...... my heart flutters! Enjoy your week and I hope you find your ring, my husband lost his two weeks after we married while we were swimming at the beach. I bought him a new one on our first aniversary. It works just as good!

Many happy wishes....... and, love, love, love your entries!

Happy anniversary

happy anniversary, you two! wishing you a week {and a lifetime} full of love.

bummer. if you guys weren't 2,000 miles away, i'd be happy to loan you our metal detector. happy anniversary! =)

Happy anniversary sweet Soules. I hope you two, grow very very old, together.

OK, this is what happened, I think.
After you lost your ring, dabbling in those blueberry bushes, a Magpie found it and carried it to its nest. He, his Magpie wife and their 4 little Magpie babies enjoyed looking at it mightily. His wife praised him extensively because she never had seen something with such a soft yet intense glistening and such different nuances of yellow in the morning, afternoon and evening sun. His children were all very impressed with their Dad. However after the Magpies left their nest, the build started dilapidating and the ring fell through a hole. Right in front of a curious little mouse's nose. He immediately took it to his nest and got a scolding from his wife. What you bring in here? That's no food, now - go out again and get us something decent you Twit. And I don't care if it's cold. We are HUNGRY! The ring was thrown in a corner and still lies there. Forgotten. Until, in a couple of hundred years somebody finds it and it lands in the Portland National Archeological Museum. Amanda's name and your wedding date still visible as thin lines.

Happy anniversary to you.

Three lost wedding rings (one mine, two my husbands--one the casualty of a snowball fight) haven't jinxed our marriage in the least. Best of luck in the finding, and many happy returns of the day!

To your left! Your LEFT! Under that leaf!

Still, for a 6 year old kid that is a pretty ingenious metal detector, you gotta hand it to him, for his creative thinking skills.

Give him a high five for me!

I'm hoping that my husbands wedding ring doesn't go awol...he wears it on his middle finger, because it's too big, and then proceeds to wear it surfing...thinks he has more chance of losing it if he takes it off. It's been nearly a year now since we were married (were together for ten before that), so I guess it's not really about the ring at all, although it is distressing to lose these things. Happy anniversary, and can I just say, you really have a beautiful way of saying things.
