Thanksgiving3
{before}

Nap
{after}

The during was lovely, too, of course. Full of family excitement: starting off with a turkey that didn't fit in the pan (oh, yes); news of an engagement (yay!!); and much feasting and celebrating and noise and laughter.

Today I'm hoping for a little bit of that second photo. (and some pie.) Who knew all that cooking and feasting could be so tiring?

Enjoy your Friday, friends!

Your table looked lovely. Glad you had a nice day ;o)

Oh to curl up like that sweet girl and snooze! Have a great day, Amanda!

so lovely, child and cat

Awwww, how cute! (I ended up with a photo of a sleeping daughter with a kitty cat, too ... must be a Thanksgiving tradition LOL) I hope that mama cuddled up in that scene, too - a well deserved nap!

Best wishes and Happy Thanksgiving, sweet Soulemama! Your beautiful blog and all its inspiration are one of the things I've thankful for :-)

I love the salt and pepper shakers!

oh... I really love your bedspread... want one really, really, really badly.... chenille, with a baby and a kitty atop.... oh my....

Your table looks very inviting. And the after picture very sweet. I was wondering if you were still planning on doing a list of your favorite spots in the area. I moved to Maine this summer. I am hoping your list includes some places to buy fabric.

Ahhh. blissful baby and cat. I love those exciting moments on holidays (like your pan one). Mine, yesterday, was the fact that I was going to cook a lot of sides with our veggies but keep the meat simple this year with a rotisserie duck and precooked ham. I only realized, yesterday, that dh had brought home an uncooked duck. All ended well. I was so inspired by your handmade book post that I've ordered The Book Book. Have a good restful day.

Oh, I love your Adelaide and cat photos, what a lovely, comforting image.

Counting blessings must include the Post Feast Naps!

i'm not sure it get much better then that ;-)
thanks for the little glimpse into your day...your photos are always so warm and inviting.
hope you get a little r&r for yourself this friday.

Oh that nap looks wonderful! Wish I could joine them:-)
Have a restfull weekend Amanda.

The more Thanksgiving photos I see the more I wish we celebrated too. xxx

I feel like curling up like that. Such a great picture.

Love the leaf name cards.
After all the preparations around here, I think we'll stay in our jammies all day and cuddle up with the cats!

adorable. I hope it was an extra special day...

What a sweet baby! Some afternoons I don't get anything done because it just seems so much better to watch my sleeping baby. :)

Sleeping child fills a whole room. Lovely picture!

sleeping babes are so beautiful. we don't have thanksgiving but I'm thinking we should, it seems such a nice idea to have a day about being thankful. thank you Amanda for everything you share, it certainly brightens my day every time.

had my pie and now off to nap myself! sounds like you had a great holiday, amanda. enjoy your weekend.

No babies in our house but all the men and cats will end up like that, I am sure. I am celebrating TG for the first time ever (I am British) on Saturday (given that I live in Mexico, with an American)

Funnily enough I will be doing all the cooking! Wish me luck

this looks very satisfying - happy, restful weekend to you.

your celebration sounds wonderful as does all the resting that follows. enjoy!

Lovey...all of it.. I agree with all the cooking and feasting being so tiring. I am pooped! :)

You get some rest, and that pie! Glad to hear it was lovely.

The photos look lovely--especially the second one! zzzzz . . . I could do a little of that myself.

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving filled with laughter and many blessings. I am very thankful to "know" you, Amanda.

Happy Pie :)

Either that is a tiny person or an enormous cat.

Love the before and after... Such a peaceful after.

Whaaa! Enormous cat! They must be a much smaller variety here in Africa. Like lions. ;)

Enjoy your pie.

Aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

The comments appear to be off for the "fancy letters" post, but I just had to say that that Ezra has some incredible fine motor skills for his age. Yowzers ... in my years of teaching this age range, I've never seen anything like it!

Only just discovered your blog a while ago but I wanted to say hi and thanks for the great blog, beautiful pictures and wonderful ideas that I've already seen! I've tagged you in my English blog (I've had one in Finnish for a while already but just restarted in English). Finnish mama from Brazil greets!

You Have Been Tagged!

BLueJay!!! Adorable... I'd buy a print of that if I saw it on Etsy. No wonder so many great painters try to emulate young children.

You always have the best pictures of your children. What lovely mementos you will have when they are grown. It happens all to quickly.

I can't wait to see your Etsy shop on Tuesday!!!

No way! I thought I was the only one who used that vintage china during the cooler months. It was one of the few things I inherited from my grandmother and I just love the cheery blue flowers.

As much as I love your little ones (and I do!), I am just falling in love with this cat... The shot in the basket is tooo adorable, and so is this one. Thanks for including your kitty in the family photos!
