30 days :: 17
We're home, thawing out (thanks for all the warm wishes!), and already re-telling with wonder the tales of our little two-night winter adventure. I'll let the pictures tell some of the story - there are some on Flickr here, and I'll add a few more in the next day.

your pictures are great,I hope you all had fun.I still think that you are stark raving BONKERS for going camping in mid-january. That is why I like reading your blog though.You always have something up your sleeve:0)
Stay well and WARM!!!

Gosh...how refreshing. I can just smell the crisp, cold air and how wonderful it felt to get home into the warmth. I love the photos and especially the one of adelaide in her snowsuit. Glad you all are ok and had fun.

thank God you are back safely.... missed all the photos and comments...can't wait for some more.... did actually sleep out in a tent?

Carole -
There was no 'tent' camping! We hiked into a cabin on the lake - there was no running water or electricity, and it wasn't insulated, but it was toastier than I expected it to be! A pleasant surprise, to be sure. --amanda

Such beautiful pictures, they make me want to go and stay in a freezing cold cabin. I loved looking through the whole flickr set with the contrast between summer and winter. That cabin looks like a slice of heaven all year round. Thank you for sharing those inspiring photos.
