(setting out on the frozen lake)
I just added the last of the photos - from the mid-lake birthday festivities - into the DownEast set on Flickr.
Inspiring:
Did you catch all of the amazing photography this week with Shari's Winter Whites? So much beauty in white.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful life, as always.

One of my favorite things about winter is frozen lakes. Thank goodness I live in Wisconsin!

That is so beautiful! It seems a little scary to walk on a frozen lake.

I looked through your photos on Flikr, and they are just lovely - my favorite is the red house. Looks like a cold, but fun party.

This is lovely. And you just know that the three of them will continue to make that journey, year after year for decades.

What a lovely pic! I always make sure to take photos of my kids dressed for the snow... there is something very sweet about a little one all bundled up like that. :)

It's wonderful to walk across a frozen lake and sometimes listen to the creaking and thundering of the ice. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos. There is no snow where I live at the moment so I wistfully photographed shadows and puddle art instead.

Wow, it's amazing to get insight into what is going on on the other side of the world - all that glorious snow glistening, while over here, it's hot summer and golden beaches.

Nor have I... ever seen a frozen lake. My little ones are asleep but my arms are still hot and sticky, despite the evening breeze, after our beach frolicking on the side of Sydney harbour today... a hot and sunny Australia Day weekend. How I love my vicarious winter life through Amanda's lens though!

I've been longong for snow for weeks now... not about to happen I'm told by the locals.
After looking at the photos on flickr, just wanted to tell you: you are not a slow skier, it's just that there are so many photo opportunities...
