your shots always reaffirm to me that any house with great light and old wooden floors is a good looking house. :> i love it when my cuties play the drums, too.
reminds me of new paltz, new york. when long-haired college kids would gather on main street and pound on sheepskin, their dogs and strangers at their feet.
Love the drum photo! My 7 year old and his daddy had a "gig" last night. Dad- guitar and son- fiddle. They played Wagon Wheel together at an open mic night. About the sweetest thing ever... How are fiddle lessons going?
I am wondering if you have any tips on developing the wonderful perspective you display in your photography. Any books you recommend or websites that inspire?
Fiddle lessons went really well! We're taking a little winter break, though. I think when we start fresh again at the age of 'five' it will be a little bit easier for those little fingers!

Yes. And it's very dirty. ;)

Thank you!! I don't really have any concrete tips - I just play with my camera A LOT. And I spent (far too much) time on Flickr - being greatly inspired. Have you seen the new website Shutter Sisters? www.shuttersisters.com. That looks to be promising!
Love the action shot! I've been happy that my kids are learning rhythmic drumming at their new school. I can only imagine how loud that little music room gets!
it's good to be heard.

Drums are such good fun. I would like to make some out of big PVC pipe and hides.

A drum and sunshine. How invigorating. I would play more often if my hands could stand it (my fingers get swollen!)

What a lovely drum. What a lovely warm place to be playing. What an Excellent shot, some of my favorite photographs are the ones you can "hear".
