reminds me of new paltz, new york. when long-haired college kids would gather on main street and pound on sheepskin, their dogs and strangers at their feet.
i think you'd love it there.

Love the drum photo! My 7 year old and his daddy had a "gig" last night. Dad- guitar and son- fiddle. They played Wagon Wheel together at an open mic night. About the sweetest thing ever... How are fiddle lessons going?

Fiddle lessons went really well! We're taking a little winter break, though. I think when we start fresh again at the age of 'five' it will be a little bit easier for those little fingers!

Thank you!! I don't really have any concrete tips - I just play with my camera A LOT. And I spent (far too much) time on Flickr - being greatly inspired. Have you seen the new website Shutter Sisters? www.shuttersisters.com. That looks to be promising!

Love the action shot! I've been happy that my kids are learning rhythmic drumming at their new school. I can only imagine how loud that little music room gets!
