Lovely, warm, and cozy. Love that doorknob and the floors and that old wooden door, ours are all hollow cardboard...Ick! Hope you are having a great weekend :)
I love the chair being used as a nightstand. That is really clever. I have this gorgeous old wood school desk that I just move from one end of the house to the next, but use as nothing. I'm inspired to put it beside my bed to see if that will be a good home for it.
…I sit in the evening light.
I Drink the last of the evening tea,
I know my work is not finished
But I’m reluctant to rise from the last warmth of the day;
To break this peaceful moment of perfection……

Oh, how I crave this, especially in the long months of Winter! This is an absolutely perfect depiction of a cozy early evening. Curling up in the comfort of your photo...Thank you!!!!!!!
Someone else using a chair as a sidetable...yet more ammunition for my family that i am NOT the only one!
Love the light...we have almost zero today. Lights, lamps, emergency lamps, down from the attic lamps...they're all on today. Carbon footprint not looking good but at least we can see!
I've been scrolling through the 'days' photos. There's such a lot of colour throughout your house. I'm not sure I ever consciously noticed it before. It's nice.
Your photo is beautiful. The lighting reminded me so much of our old house. I can almost hear the creak of the wood floors and feel the glass doorknob in my hand. Thank you--it was a great memory.
My grandma has always had old kitchen chairs as nightstands next to the beds. Probably because that's what she had. She is very frugal! But, she also managed to make a very pretty home that still comforts me. She's now almost 90 and still lives there.
Even thought there is only a little bit of the bed showing, it looks very cosy and inviting (and even more so because it is nearly my bedtime - I'm in the UK in case anyone worries I'm going to be unusually early!).
we're halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox now, so that evening light is more and more noticeable, isn't it? it's why i can't totally jump onto the "february funk" because signs of spring are already slowly appearing, even if only in the form of the longer daylight.
anyway, great photo. love the cozy-looking bed with its bright pillow cases.
Really lovely... looks like morning! And could that bed look any cozier?

The side of your bed is WAY neater than the side of mine.

I have an old chair I use as a nightstand too! I love re-purposing something old for something new and functional in that manner.

yes. that light is sticking around a little longer these days, isn't it. i love how it is highlighting your doorknob! (wow- 26 days already?)

PLEASE tell me you tidied up your nightstand before you took this picture. If not, then I've lost all hope. (ha!)

I love this. Reminds of me of our 200+ year old house: old doors with years of paint on them. Nothing better, in my mind :)

It looks like quiet time around the house. Quiet time is my favorite time of the day....whenever it happens.
