i always have the feeling, about your children - from all that i read here - that they live just like that bob dylan quote says. how lucky - for them, and for the world around them.
Hi, I stumbled across your blog via Tree Fall. What a beautiful family you have and gorgeous home!! I have yet another blog to be addicted to. I look forward to reading all the archive posts when I get a chance.
Thank you for this photo and this quote as I clutch my resignation letter tightly, too nervous to hand it over yet this morning. Time to do what I love "in between". This gives me the confidence to turn it in.
lovely photo! and may i respectfully disagree with the quote? i have a few loved ones who don't get to do what they want to do all day, but i consider them a success anyway because they are providing for their families.
Great photo! The quote sounds so casual when you first read it, but when you think about it for while ... especially the getting up and going to bed bit! Me, not always successful there...
I'm going to hold fast to this quote as I just decided (and informed the teachers) to pull my kids out of school and home school them, starting next week!
A bit of anxiety, a bit of fear, but mostly I'm experiencing elation at choosing to do what we want most to do! Wish us luck!
That's a fabulous quote, and the pic is great too. Those little feet sticking out from his jeans, with his big boy oxford and bells on his suspenders. Simply great.
After reading this quote yesterday morning, I thought about it all day. I'm very lucky to do what I love all day long (even the tough days), even though it means a tiny paycheck. Thanks for putting that quote up.
Oh, how could you not love it. The suspenders!

Wonderfully reasuring words for a slightly anxious autonomous educator.

Elizabeth -
I would argue, then, that they ARE doing precisely what they 'want' with their days. A success, yes!
