Art in the spring sun. I'm not sure that it gets much better than painting outside in the warm sun in your pajamas. Maybe we should all try that.

sweet spring sun, and sweet little girl....

What cute sunglasses! Looks like you've been having a wonderful week of spring!

Man, I need a pair of shades like that! Shades....without lenses?

Adorable!

What fabulous sunglasses - I love her intense concentration, it matches the bright sunlight! A great spring photo.

So sweet!! Love the sunglasses!!

She's so precious.

Love the shades! What is it with Spring and chalk? My kiddo's have written on the house:-)

count me in, though I'm not sure the neighbours would be too delighted!

Great glasses!

fabulous! love the groovy shades!

Her intense concentration is so darn adorable!

fabulous! love the groovy shades!

Oh yes, chalk and painting outside! My 2 year old class AND I are enjoying those things right now!

I love that there are seasons. It makes those first few sun moments all that more sweet and fresh.

we haven't tried painting, but we do play ball and blow bubbles outside in our pjs!

love the new banner! and love that girl...those glasses are very stylish. spring is so fantastic :)

Oh, how I adore winter, but I am finally embracing spring. Now, if we could just skip summer COMPLETELY, I'd be all shades of happy. Kind of like Adelaide's shades.

I love the look of concentration on her face. She looks very determined! The sun is good.

so perfect. yes- art outside, i think we should all try that.

...outside in PJs *with funky sunglasses*!

oh my goodness!
how sweet is she in those sunglasses?!
and love her concentration.

Seriously - I wish I were 2, in waffle knit pjs, painting and wearing super sweet sunglasses....I'm so jealous! heehee...What fun!

little elton john... ;) beautiful babe.

Okay, how do you get Adelaide to keep her sunglasses on?

I can feel the warmth in this picture - love the shades!

Wow. For once the sun in Maine outshines the sun in California (it rained last night.) I'm glad you're getting a chance to be outside! We spent yesterday inside planning and throwing a birthday party for our imaginary cat, Miko, inspired by The Creative Family.

Thank you for sharing your everyday with us. Whether you know it when you're photographing/writing it or not, it really does inspire more creativity all across the country every day. By the way, I love the new Spring blog banner!

yeah, i second the waffle-knits and elton shades:: if only i was gifted with such style so young!

Delightful!

Another one who loves the sunglasses. ;) That warm, toasty sun looks awesome.

I think my little girl has the same PJs! But different sunglasses :) It looks like Adelaide is into making "mountains" or "M's" as my little one is too...

LOVE the shades! Love love love.

She's a hip little artist in her own right! Very cute.

could adelaide be any cuter?! love the shades. i am making time for art outside today. thanks for the gentle nudge. xox

If only we all had super groovy glasses like hers!

I agree! Maybe we should!

I'm loving the sunglasses!

a pajama day sounds lovely. I think we'll have one here today, too. although we are sun-less. LOVE those sunglasses!

Oh sweet lord - LOVING Miss A rockin' out her frames! Ack, ack and ack again, I tell you.

I love the look of deep concentration. Too cute.

not to mention with the coolest sunglasses ever!

I did that exact same thing all the summer vacations: woke up, got outside in my pijamas with a couple of pencils and acuarels and my daughter, and started drawing under the sun!

I am DIGGIN' those shades:0)

Hi Amanda - Just wanted to tell you that your book arrived yesterday and I'm so thrilled with it! Its so inspiring and even more so, it makes me feel VALIDATED to make creating together as a family a higher priority in our lives. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the project ideas and more of the book!

Beautiful picture of the little one... I love those shades too :-)

I can feel the warmth reflecting from that photo and we need it today in the pacific northwest for sure!

Love the glasses! She is growing up SO fast.
