Right now, I am...
:: living in the world of The Nutcracker (it's a lovely place to be). Five more shows to go...
:: feeling rather motherly and proud of my not-so-little guy who suddenly looks so little to me on that big stage.
:: thinking often of his days, years ago now, dressing up and performing. Performing always. Performing still...with confidence and grace.
:: looking outside at the Thanksgiving Eve snow that seems to be sticking around. I'm thinking we may not see green till spring!
:: letting go of all the other garden beds I wanted to create before the snow fell, and the extra garlic I wanted to plant. Oh well...next year.
:: holding onto the memory of sweet Harper's third birthday, in which he happily stayed in his pajamas all day, ate cake, and was showered in love and gifts. What a trend to set, yes?
:: wondering how many games of Sorry those two can play today. (Mama reorganized the game cabinet. Everything feels new again - just in time for winter.)
:: eating the very last of the Thanksgiving leftovers this morning. Yes, cranberry sauce on my oatmeal!
:: writing this post today from two different computers - photos on one, working colon key (ahem) on the other. I think it's time for a visit to the apple store.
:: listening to Aimee Mann Holiday on Pandora. It's time!
:: treasuring the first date night - in a very long time - that I had with my honey last night. Grandparents are the best.
:: savoring the sound of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings in my head and heart this morning after hearing them in concert this weekend. I have never seen anyone play guitar like he does, and her voice fills me up. Amazing.
:: preparing for another trip to the city, for another day at the theater.
:: knitting a whole lot these days.
:: moving as slowly as I can, as mindfully as can be, through this blur of lovely days.
:: wishing you the very same.
