Today, I bring you a giveaway from SouleMama Sponsor, Alphabet Glue. In Annie's words:
"Alphabet Glue is a downloadable e-magazine for families who love books! Filled with activities, printables, project,s and plenty of inspiration, Alphabet Glue was created in hopes of helping more families to incorporate creativity, imagination and all things literary into their everyday routines. Each issue contains leveled reading lists, bookmaking tutorials, storybuilding activities and hands on projects that complement favorite titles in children's literature.

SouleMama: What inspires you?
Annie: I think that more than anything else, I find inspiration for what I do in the honest enthusiasm that kids show for stories, imagination and creating. Kids love to make and do, and they undertake their creative processes in such an open way. I also find a lot of inspiration in whatever books I am reading with my daughter at any given time. The detective issue of Alphabet Glue, for example, came out of the fact that she was reading all of these kid detective novels that I had also read (and loved!) as a kid and I started thinking about how much fun it would be to do a bunch of related projects together. Also, my anticipation of the upcoming season is a great source of inspiration. When I was putting together this latest issue, I was so excited about the prospect of spring coming that I couldn’t help but include activities and booklists related to things like gardening and making the most of spring breezes. After a New England winter, the promise of warm weather is very inspiring, let me tell you!
SouleMama: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?
Annie: I do! I love Wendell Berry’s poem, Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front. I love the entire poem, and it has hung on the refrigerator in every house that my husband and I have ever lived in, but I especially love the line where he writes “Be joyful, though you have considered all the facts.” Very, very good advice for living, I think.
SouleMama: What are you most excited about in the current issue of Alphabet Glue?
Annie: I think that my favorite project from this most recent issue is probably the garden seed books. They are basically books that have seed-decorated pages that can be torn out and planted directly into the garden. I love the idea of kids being able to carry around their own handmade books with pages they can just toss into the ground when they find a good spot to start plants of favorite vegetables and flowers. Also, my daughter absolutely loved the idea when I first shared it with her, and that is something that always makes me feel pretty good about a project!
