In late 2007, I began using the Amazon affiliate program, by which I earn a commission, or 'referral fee' for all links resulting in purchases from Amazon.com (I wrote a bit about that decision here). In the summer of 2008, after much thought, research and crafting of a plan that I felt to be 'just right' for me and my readers, I began hosting Sponsorships on SouleMama.
I see Sponsorship as an opportunity to play 'matchmaker' (who doesn't love that?) - matching exciting, independent artists, crafters and sellers with people looking for just that - beautiful goods made ethically in styles that fit our lifestyle, aesthetic and values. Each sponsor is carefully selected with that criteria in mind. In the process, I'm able to contribute financially to my family - by doing what I love! And it allows me the time to continue blogging at the level and frequency which I do.
