Yes, the same photo I shared two weeks ago, but now.... in green (or celery sprig to be precise)! Can I just tell you how amazing it is to have c-o-l-o-r in the house after four years of white walls everywhere? Oh, I'm very happy. Very very happy. Even if it took a few color tries, some late nights, much swearing, and a week of general mess and chaos in the house. Still...quite fun. You know that feeling--even when I'm not in the room, I *look* into that room to see the improvement. Love it.
Now we're onto the next room, which is the main room of our house--living room, playroom, entryway, hallway, you name it. It gets lots of sun and lots of use. I'm wanting an earthy color--strong but neutral. This is what we're trying first ...it's got a bit more 'pink' than I thought it would/should, but that might just be the primer coming through. I'm thinking this color (it's Behr's Gobi Desert, btw) might just need a few coats to really show, so we're going to go for it this weekend. I'm hopeful. But really, I have no idea what I'm doing and should not be trusted with such decisions like this.
Sorry to bore you with my boring painting details, but is has become MY LIFE for a few weeks (trust me, there's lots more paint drama I'm sparing you from...shall we talk about the hammer that a child of mine took to the freshly painted wall? Or the number of dollars we've spent on gallons of paint that are the 'wrong' color? No, let's not.)
Up tomorrow: the 'other' painting I've been doing when I *should* be painting the walls (Steve calls me a 'glory painter'...all I want to do is the roller. When it comes time for cutting out, taping, and trim work, I take lots of 'breaks'.)
