Thank you all so much for the lovely sentiments yesterday--both in the comments and email. The whole point of the post was to thank you, but then you all showered me with such kind words - I was so touched!I loved hearing from some of you for the first time, and I adore the 'visions' you gave me of what you're doing when reading. Thank you! And thanks for indulging me in my little giveaway too- I've been wanting to do that for so long now, it was quite fun to finally do so. Five totes are headed out to Laurie, Jane, Vicky, Suzy, and Brooke.
I'm fascinated by the way this blogging world connects us, on a global level. How we can connect with someone literally on the other side of the world, without ever 'meeting'. A perfect example of that is this gorgeous piece of mail (excuse my poor photography this morning) that arrived this week from Little Paper Planes. It's the spring set that's a result of a cross-continent collaboration between mav and nebo peklo. I'm amazed at how beautifully their work complements each other to make a truly unique piece of art. I'm on the hunt for the right frames to put these in. I look forward to them being a visual reminder for me of that sense of global connection.
And while I'm mentioning beautiful art that came in the mail, this print arrived this week too. From The Black Apple, whose work I've admired since discovering Etsy. Emily also has a blog here. I adore the fine lines and sweet sentiments that this print evokes. I'm pleased to have it, and look forward to purchasing one of her lovely paintings soon too! Ah, how I adore Etsy. Bringing fabulous and affordable art and handmade goods right to my fingertips. And Shop by Color? Brilliant, I say.
