I'm feeling lost after today's devastating news. My heart is heavy and sad. But at the same time, I'm trying to send out light and love to those who are grieving and truly suffering from the loss of a heroic son, friend, husband and father. Oh, that amazing Mama and her two babies - I think you'll always be in my heart.
There was no way to not share this story with our children, as so much of my energy has been thinking of the Kims this past week. And so now we've got lots of questions and sadness from the littles too, which is both heartbreaking and comforting at the same time. I'm touched to hear that there might be an art/craft fundraiser in the works, which might help with that feeling of wanting to *do* something that I'm sure we're all struggling with.
I'm at a loss of what to say, but wanted to say something. Hug your babes. Love your partners. Smile at the sky.
In peace and warmth,
Amanda
