outside ::
I'm not much of a forecast-checker, but I do believe us to be in the middle of a several day storm. Not a wild and crazy blizzard storm as was talked about by everyone I ran into all week long (that's what we do in New England - we talk about the weather. A lot.), but rather a long, slow and steady gentle winters storm. I'll take it.
I don't think I could ask for a better way to greet this new year - a year in which my goal is to 'be quiet' just a little bit more. The steady rhythm of inside, outside, inside, outside keeps the flow as we go back and forth between building snow friends and learning the morse code; nighttime snowy woods walks and baking bread; snow angels and crafting; or sledding and dipping into what feels like a never ending pot of soup on the stove. Inside, outside, inside, outside.
Yes. A very good start, indeed.
Regardless of your own weather forecast, I hope these days are bringing you just what you're looking for too.
Cheers to 2010!
