Words and images about and inspired by this very special lady are scattered through everything I write and photograph. Her presence and influence in my life has - and will continue to - touch everything I do. I feel so blessed to have been loved by her.

I'll be away from this space for a few days as we celebrate her life in what I predict to be a huge pile of tears and laughter. In her honor, I will do my best to have as many full-costume, on-the-floor, elaborate and silly tea parties as possible. My Meme was the queen of such parties - she taught us well.
