Well, today I could tell you about the "summer" knitting project I just started for myself, or the tulips I bought to counteract the rain falling outside our windows all week, or about the latest thrifting find for Harper that 'completes' a family set.
But all I can think about today is someone I met yesterday. And now I'm smitten in-love with my newest little niece Myloh, born on the first day of spring. My goodness, there is nothing - nothing - like the smell of a fresh new baby, is there? Or the sight of those wrinkled up fingers and toes. And elfish little unfolding ears. I soaked up as much of her as I possibly could. Later, at home, I looked at the growing nine year old, six year old, four year old and one year old fingers, toes and ears I know so well. I remembered those first days with them, in the very same moment realizing just how long ago that was and how very little they still are.
Yeah, my babes suffered through a few extra Mama snuggles last night. (No one complained.)
And now that she's on the outside, Myloh is slowly getting used to that big black thing attached to her Auntie Amanda's nose.
{oh goodness...just to clarify. That first photo is Myloh on the inside, and the second photo is Myloh on the outside of her Mama, my sweet sister. Not me!}
