There's some exciting attire arriving these days for the Soule boys. Dance recital costumes and very soon - baseball uniforms! Exciting stuff, busy nights.
Our dance bags I made in the fall have been so helpful in keeping everything together between classes. It's truly made getting out the door on time a whole lot less chaotic. So I thought I'd apply the same strategy to the coming baseball season. Because I can remember more than one occasion last year on which we were late, all frantically searching for one baseball sock.
I made one for each of the boys (much to Adelaide's dismay, she needs to wait one more year for Tball). The bags now hang in their room (my
old room!), waiting for uniforms and waiting for game time. Just around the corner, are their
bedtime bags, a project I wrote more about in
The Creative Family. Goodness, four years later and those are still used every night. That makes a sewing Mama happy. Now let's see how long these baseball bags will be used. If Calvin has anything to say about it, it'll be a long time. He has every intention of spending his future days in Boston - juggling between the Red Sox, the Boston Ballet and his farm in the countryside. I would not be surprised...
