I'm sorry if I appear a bit redundant today, but, well, you do know it's Summer here, right? We are currently all about the sand and shore and the water. And while we have certainly been ocean-side of late, my camera has not always accompanied us this summer (I'm beginning to blame that pesky and wonderful sand I love so much for the short life of my camera bodies). But I do really consider representing the ocean to be my civic blog duty. 'Tis true.
And so...what did we do yesterday? To celebrate the first official day of summer? We played in the sand, we swam, we napped in the sun (well, just one of us), and we frolicked (yes, frolicked) by the shore with friends. And this time, the camera came too.
In all of my life spent by the shore, and all of my days spent on a beach or in the ocean's waters, I never fail to be humbled, awed, and inspired by the beauty and mystery that lies at the ocean's edge. In fact, it seems that those feeling just grow deeper from year to year, and more meaningful as I share them with the little ones I love.
Cheers to another season by the shore!
