I made this shirt mid-summer, but kept forgetting to take a photograph of it to share with you. Last week, we found ourselves at my parents house, surrounded by babies (oh, for the love of so many nephews and nieces!), Steve with camera in hand, and I just so happened to have this shirt on. Ah, finally! Here you have it!
It's the Summer Blouse from Heather Ross' Weekend Sewing, and this is the second of that shirt that I've made (last year's can be found here). I love the pattern - it works up easily and quickly, really. And I love, love, love it in cotton lawn and voile - so very summer. (This one is made with an Anna Maria's voile print that I picked up at Alewives early in the summer.)
{Harper looooooves his baby cousins.}
It truly is the perfect beach blouse and that is mostly where I find myself wearing it. Often. Over a bathing suit for when the day changes to a breezy one, or too sunny to leave skin all exposed. And I do believe that it goes very well with soft and fuzzy baby hair and tiny little baby toes, but then again, what doesn't?
(Thanks to Papa for the photos and Myloh for letting me squeeze her a little bit extra...)
