:: greeted with much joy and merriment the season's first tomatoes from the garden.
:: made (black) Raspberry Swirl ice cream from The Perfect Scoop. Oh my Yum.
:: stained my hands blue from all the blueberry freezing, canning, and making. I love that.
:: made this Beet, Goat Cheese and Arugula Salad. Twice.
:: tried once again a recipe I hope to share with you here soon. Lots of coconut milk - oh so good.
::relied upon "cold and simple" for meals on the hot, hot days - lots of mama's yogurt and the like.
:: enjoyed - immensely - a recent kitchen indulgence (yes, I finally got the pasta maker!).
:: made Huckle Buckle. Ate huckle buckle. Loved huckle buckle (from Good to the Grain).
:: enjoyed the company of my kitchen 'helpers.' We've begun a nightly rotation of who's on "helping make dinner" duty - I love that it's a treat for them, not a chore (clearing the table, sadly, still seems to be a 'chore').
:: grilled radicchio for the first time. So good.
:: totally and completely fallen in love with grilling pizza (looking for tips? Check out 101 Cookbooks).
:: rejoiced that my husband loves making (and does so well) the NYTimes chocolate chip cookies.
:: welcomed my sister into my kitchen to teach her how to jam.
:: planned a top-secret, surprise birthday cake making session with my little ones (Happy Birthday, Papa!).
:: found great satisfaction, comfort, and abundance.
