There's a lot of list-making and planning going on these days, which is all necessary and good and wonderful, really. But, of course, in times of busyness and change, I find that it becomes more challenging to stay present. When I start to get ahead of myself and the lists become a little too much, I try to remember - as much as I can - to ask myself what's going on right now? And really, that's all it takes to bring me back down to earth, right next to my babes, and breathing slowly once again.

And so.

Right Now, I...

:: have dew on my feet and laughter in my heart from the early morning naked-for-those-under-ten garden run for tomatoes and basil.

:: am watching Adelaide write letters to everyone she knows, reminding them (in case they forgot) that she has a birthday coming up.

:: am happy with my breakfast of tea and english muffin bread (from Home Cheese Making, using leftover whey from making mozzarella).

:: am thinking a lot about the growth pains of childhood- how difficult they are, and yet how much grace truly shines through it all.

:: hear a full-on jubilee coming from the kitchen, which I think means that Papa has declared this morning a waffle-making morning.

:: am grateful for and still riding high from a lovely evening of music with Steve, Ezra, and The Wailin Jennys. Their show was heavenly, soothing, beautiful and oh-so-inspiring. And now my little boy has added stand-up bass lessons to his list, alongside his search for a 'girl with an accordian.' Love. (Thank you so much, Jennys & Tracy!)

:: will head to the studio for a day of work and yes, some lists, but also with the sounds of my babes in my ears, a full belly, and sweet music on my mind.
