When we're waiting for a coat of paint to dry, or need to leave the house as the dust is flying and not safe for littles, or when everyone is feeling slightly bonkers from the chaos and mess of it all...we're beginning to explore the land around us. We're all stepping a little tentatively - literally or figuratively depending on who we are - as we introduce ourselves to the space and start to find our way around the trees and trails and stone walls. Right now, everything feels new and fresh and a little bit mysterious, too. It's exciting...and I'm treasuring the newness of it, for soon enough I know the same trees and walls and trails will become worn down with our walking, familiar to our senses and just as comforting as home should be.
