This morning, I sat down to write a leisurely, sentimental post about saying goodbye to this space that has been so very good to us. But I glanced to the left of me (and the right of me and above and below too), and saw this. This is my reality right now. Except that, really, it's the only room packed up and so it's a little on the optimistic side. I have three days to pack the rest of this house.(I was far too superstitious to do so before closing, and have been doing other things, as you know, since then.)
Oh my. Reflection and documenting can wait - this cannot. (Besides, the thinking is the quiet beauty amidst such a monotonous task as packing, right?)
I'm off to wrangle the packing tape back from the cats, and unpack the french press. I think that might come in handy today!
