SouleMama: Tell us about your background.
Barnlight: The company actually started as a hobby for the owners, Bryan and Donna. When more and more friends and family started wanting barn lights, the demand grew to where Bryan couldn’t keep up with production himself. That led them to starting up barnlightelectric.com, finding a top quality, American lighting manufacturer, and eventually growing to the 20+ employees we have today – all in a matter of about 2-3 years!
SouleMama: Tell us about your customers.
Barnlight: We have a wide range of wonderful customers – from all around the world! Not only do we sell to the everyday consumer looking to update their homes, but we also sell to architects, designers, contractors, and retail stores – just to name a few. Our favorite part about working with everyone is seeing photos of their completed projects! Everyone seems to incorporate our lighting into their home or business in a new and unique way. We’ve also had the opportunity to work with TV shows such as DIY Networks’ Garage Mahal, ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and more!
SouleMama: What are you most excited about in your shop right now?
Barnlight: We’re probably most excited about our newest editions of Porcelain Enamel Lights and Industrial Furniture - both of these lines are exclusive to Barn Light Electric and are inspired by old, vintage items, plus they are both American made! The Porcelain Enamel Lights are extremely durable, long lasting, and easy to care for; they have the ability to be both traditional yet modern, and come in a variety of wonderful colors and sizes. Our Industrial Furniture is made right here in Florida and actually incorporates reclaimed wood that was salvaged from our recent office renovation. They are wonderful, durable pieces that combine both vintage style and recycled materials!
