SouleMama: What inspired you to start your business?
Vivienne: I was inspired to create these photography classes through my own experiences with taking self-portraits. I found that through taking self-portraits I became the narrator of my own visual autobiography. I became really empowered by the way I felt seen through these photos and learned to re-define my relationship to beauty. Through this process I became determined to help other people take images that make them feel positive about who they see reflected.
SouleMama: Tell us about your participants?
Vivienne: The Participants (who I like to call Muses) come from all over the globe and from different backgrounds: scrapbooking, painters, photography and creative folks who just want to add a little bit more of themselves to the way that they document the world through their cameras.
SouleMama: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?
Vivienne: The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself.

SouleMama: What's the product or offering you are most excited about in your shop right now?
Vivienne: I’m so excited about my brand new course (the one I’m giving away). The original class You are Your Own Muse is a fabulous jam packed 6 weeks of information, interviews and learning but I wanted to create something that was a bit more introductory and lighter so busy folks could add a little self-portraiture into their lives without the big commitment of a 6 week course. Wading In is playful, fun and anyone can take it whether you have a camera on you cell phone or a big fancy one. It is about developing and documenting the way you see the world and inviting ourselves into the photos as well.

This is inspiring! I just mentioned to my husband the other day that I want to get a tripod to take self portraits. I've been taking loads of photos lately. This would be a fun project!
