And the two littles have their sweaters too!
Harper might have the best hand gestures I've ever seen on a two-year old. For a boy who doesn't say much, he certainly says a lot (we do some signing with him, but most of them are of his own fabulous creation. Love). And yes, there was a wardrobe change mid-photo shoot. These things happen when you are quite in love with dressing yourself. I'm touched they were mama-mades (quick change trousers!) both times (I'll pretend he chose them and not just that they were at the top of the laundry pile).
So he got himself a Fisherman's Sweater. This was the first sweater I finished - starting with the easiest filled me with optimism for the rest, I think. It was quite a simple knit and I think this yarn (Queensland Kathmandu Chunky) is going to make it a hearty wear for a busy toddler. Success. He wears it often because I put it on him. That's the bonus of knitting for a two year old. (Ravelry link for details.)
{Note: The buttons that you are asking about are handmade and were a gift from a lovely reader years ago now. Her (new) shop is Bread and Buttons.}
And Adelaide got a Tiny Tea Leaves. (Ravelry link for details.) Just like my own Tea Leaves, this pattern knit up so smoothly - it's really such a dream to knit Melissa's patterns. Adelaide choose the yarn from my stash - it's Foxfire Fiber and so wonderfully soft but sturdy. She - the trickiest to please - was happy with the results, and so Mama is thrilled (and relieved).
She set up this little photo shoot just to show it off to you (and cleverly used the "photo shoot" opportunity to break the no shoes in the house rule so she could wear these new treats of hers).
There's a lot of finger pointing like this with Miss Adelaide. She's a Virgo, you know...with three brothers. She holds her own, I tell you. Just fine. (In case there was any doubt.)
