Right Now, I am ...
:: listening to the sound of Elvis' Love Me Tender coming from Ezra's ukelele.
:: embracing the little things that make these days just a little bit easier. Hello, cereal for breakfast.
:: enjoying the early morning sun (that I usually sleep through) rising across my kitchen table.
:: marveling at the wonder of a medical world that replaces body parts...just like that.
:: loving our physical therapist with a dutch accent.
:: feeling inspired by my husband's optimism, spirit, and progress.
:: watching my little ones discover the silver linings - like a Papa always available for a story.
Right Now, I am ...
finding myself both exhausted at just how much is being done in one day...and yet amazed at the blur and flurry of it all. Amidst the strangeness and sometimes hardness of recovery, canes and walkers...double chores...and third trimester tasks...not to mention global thoughts and tragedy, my family is finding great comfort in moments of everyday ordinariness as they appear. It isn't our regular rhythm yet - or anything close - but it's a start, it's what we've got, and it's good - these little moments of ordinary, these little moments of 'us' that are emerging.
This week, I hope to pay attention and relish these little details and minute moments amidst the busy blur, and to hold them close to my heart in the more challenging of hours as those too appear. In more images than words, I'll be sharing some of that everyday ordinariness here, in my posts.
