SouleMama: How are your children incorporated into your business?
Randi: Since it's Mother's Day I figured that sharing about my kids and their involvement in my little business would be perfect! We are a homeschooling family and the running of my shop fits nicely into that set-up. One of my oldest daughters is my creative eye, and she helps me with selecting products for my shop (I consider her to be my youthful eyes) as well as a project designer. She has a natural knack for pattern design and she is great at fabric combining. My 14 year old son is in charge of packaging and shipping. His perfectionist tendencies lead to nicely folded goods as well as envelopes that are stuffed to the max, but that arrive neat and tidy. I love this about him! My youngest, at age 9, loves to be crafty. We like to sew together and our latest project was a chair pad for her desk set. She always picks the liveliest color combinations!
Basically my business allows me to run a small business and be creative, as well as allowing me to stay home and school my children. It's a perfect fit, really.
