:: laughing (still) at how Annabel decided to arrive into this world just two hours before the busiest 24 hours of our month began with three back-to-back recitals. (The show went on, of course...just without Mama.)
:: feeling grateful (in a twisted sort of way) for the infection that kept me in bed, staring at miss Annabel, for her first two weeks of life. Precious moments, and a beautiful, magical window of time that I will never forget.
:: doing a lot of sitting, still.
:: beginning to stretch out a little bit more with her on my chest...to the kitchen, the garden and the neighborhood around us (hello, lovely lakes we are just getting to know!).
:: missing my knitting needles and sewing machine and writing words in this space.
:: knowing I'll get back there/here soon enough.
:: wondering if it's her baby elbow or baby wrists that I'm loving more today. Hmn...
:: eating, a lot.
:: yawning, even more.
:: giggling every time Harper says, "That MY job!" with an inflated chest, pride in his voice, and the confidence of a two year old helper...grinding the coffee, planting seeds, washing dishes, bringing hay to the garden..and on and on and on.
:: shaking my head and sorta kinda still giggling about the afternoon when said helper picked a row of "weeds". Also known as my onions.
:: watching the garden take shape. One slowly planted half-row at a time.
:: wanting to plant lupines everywhere.
:: loving the photos my (big) girl took when she sneakily walked around with my camera. 36 photos of chickens, 4 photos of ants under a pile of logs, and 1 photo of Mama and Annabel in the garden (above).
:: continuing to eat rhubarb every day. Dinner may not be an extravagant feast each night (ahem), but I've got dessert covered. It's rhubarb.
:: reminiscing each time I put a handknit on Annabel that was made for one of her older siblings (like the kicking bag above).
:: smiling because my baby girl loves yellow. (It's true. She told me so.)
:: appreciating family, and especially the Boston Aunties (as they are called) who spoil my big boys with big city adventures just when they (and we) need it most.
:: thanking my boys (and man) for introducing me to new music, like this from Buck 65.
:: love, love, loving the guest posts here, and the beautiful words and projects shared by such lovely women. Aren't each of those posts so very beautiful? A few more to come this week...
:: wishing you the loveliest of Mondays, whatever adventures your day may hold!
