right now, I am...
:: saying 'thank you' to all of you who came out to celebrate The Rhythm of Family with us on Thursday night at Longfellow Books. That was fun, and you are so very nice. I left there reminded once again that the world is full of good and wonderful people trying their very best. It's absolutely true.
:: looking, still, at the most gorgeous boquet of flowers in all the world (really), created by my friend Stacy, who is nothing short of a Goddess of all things floral.
:: hoping those sweet little pigs stay put in their new spot today. Oh, this pasture is coming to life!
:: waiting for my cucumbers to finish brining. Cucumbers today!
:: feeling full of family and the love of sisters, having celebrated this weekend a big birthday, a pregnancy announcement, a new house (none of it mine!) and all the 'life' that a growing family has to celebrate.
:: loving Harper's love of scissors.
:: deciding not to clean up the resulting little pieces of paper everywhere (because there will just be more to come in ten minutes). It's just paper, after all.
:: grateful for the rain (finally) falling this morning.
:: happy that my little girl LOVES picking up tomato horn worms barehanded and feeding them to her chickens. Because her Mama is not so much a fan of said insect or the task of removing them, nor feeding them to the chickens (I was not born a farmer).
:: stuffing insulation everywhere and anywhere we can.
:: ordering myself a down comforter, to have at the ready.
:: longing, just a little bit, for some fall knitting.
:: wanting summer to slow. itself. down. already.
:: ready to embrace the day that lies ahead.
:: hoping you are too.
