A year ago, we had the wonderful pleasure of entertaining Elizabeth, Daniel and Storey, of Elizabeth Mitchell & You Are My Flower. I remember sitting around the fire that day with my little ones, hearing and singing the familiar songs our family loves and knows. It was a treat, and we are so grateful to our friends for sharing their music with us.
Elizabeth so graciously invited Ezra to play with them at their show the following day. Later that night, he said it was in his "Top Three Days of My Life" alongside being born, and his first day of dance class. Elizabeth's inclusion of everyone - whether sitting around the fire, or on a stage - is just the generous, family-oriented spirit that you'd expect, and that her music embodies. It inspires my little music makers, and their Mama too.

We're all thrilled that Elizabeth Mitchell is returning to Maine this fall! Just next week, October 1st, they'll be at SPACE Gallery in Portland, Maine. They're playing two shows - 11am and 2pm. (And I hear there will be handmade hula hoops for sale, as a Hurricane relief benefit for their Hudson Valley friends!) Tickets are available on the website.
