These days, this baby girl of ours is almost six months old.
These days, I am knowing the expression "growing before your very eyes."
These days, she is passed around at gatherings from person to person, giggling all the while.
These days, she finds her thumb and falls asleep on that great big chair, all by herself, in the midst of the frenzy of an eight year old's birthday party. Or just the everyday frenzy of home. It's her background noise.
These days, she is both very entertained and very entertaining.
These days, she has just about outgrown the last of her knitted booties.
These days, she watches our mealtimes with delight in her sparkly, bright eyes and we say, "not yet, little one, but soon!"
These days, she has dimples on her rolls. And she has many rolls.
These days, the only time she is unhappy is in the car, which makes our semi-frequent one-hour commute into the city not always fun.
These days, she stops crying (in the car) and starts giggling when we all sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I don't know why, but it's true...and we do....and it's very silly.
These days, I wish would slow down just a little bit.
These days, I know will pass and more loveliness and good things will come.
Thes days, I treasure.
