Today, I bring you a giveaway from SouleMama Sponsor, Sundara Yarn. In their words:
"Sundara Yarn hand-dyes luxury yarn for knitters, crocheters and weavers in gorgeous glowing colors."
SouleMama: What's your favorite part of your job? The most challenging?
Sundara: My favorite part of my job and the most challenging is coming up with new colors for our yarn. I've been dyeing yarn for 6 years and constantly coming up with new colors for that entire time. It's a challenge to find a fresh, new take on any color at this point, but I manage to find two new colors each month and it always surprises me how infinite the color wheel can be.
SouleMama: How does the balance of work and family play out for you? How has motherhood affected the work you do?
Sundara: I am a new mother of a 16 month old and it has been a huge adjustment. Finding some semblance of a balance between my daughter and running my business usually is impossible. I try to remember that all I have is the present moment and to be fully aware of what is happening now, rather than constantly thinking
SouleMama: How are your children incorporated into your business?
Sundara: It seems like right now, my daughter is the excuse I give everybody for why I'm constantly late, forgetting things or generally just seemingly flakey. My customers are 99.9% women and most of them are mothers so they are very kind, patient and understanding. It's given me a greater understanding of who they are as people and why they knit so much for their kids!
