SouleMama: How long have you been in business?
Barn Light: We marked our 4th year in business back in February and we're celebrating all year long with new products including our own line of Made in the USA porcelain lights.
SouleMama: Tell us about your background.
Barn Light: As with many businesses on Soule Mama, we started out at the dining room table with big dreams and a laptop combined with a love of vintage lighting styles. We quickly outgrew the dining room table and laptop but we've never lost our love of classic lighting. We continue to grow both in types of fixtures offered and satisfied customers.
SouleMama: What's your favorite part of your job?
Barn Light: One of our favorite parts of the job is working with such a variety of customers. Each has their own unique project that they need help with, and it's always cool to see the creative ways our customers design their spaces with our lights. SouleMama: What's the product or offering you're most excited about right now?
Barn Light: We're really excited about our line of porcelain lighting. Porcelain was popular back in the 1930s but production in this country ceased by the 1960s. We take great pride in helping revive this classic style of light and bringing jobs back to America. Today you no longer have to search for one of these vintage lights to refurbish. We hand spin the shades and hand apply the glass enamel coating which is baked on to produce one of the most durable and beautiful fixtures on the market today.
