SouleMama: What's the product or offering that you are most excited about in your shop right now?
Sarah: The thing I’m most excited to share at the moment is our new Spring Catalog! We have so many great new items for the coming season from gardening tools and seed trays, to cuddly plush bunnies, and sweet spring activities and books. We hope you have as much fun looking at it as we did putting it together!
SouleMama: Tell us about your customers?
Sarah : When
we started this business over five years ago I had no idea that is was
possible to feel a close connection to so many people I’ve never even
met. That somehow, through the mess of wires and signals that travel
this globe I’d have the privilege of encountering a community whose
kindness and humor make me smile, and whose compassion and generosity
frankly inspire me. I had no idea that I would be able to see so many corners of the world through their eyes, or that I would learn so much
from their stories. I guess what I’m trying to say, is that I’m very
thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful
people. The fact that they enjoy the items in our shop is just icing on
the cake!
SouleMama: What inspires you?
Sarah : Right
now I am inspired by the changing light. After spending most of my life
in places with four distinct seasons, I’ve spent the last year living
in a temperate climate where the shifts between summer, fall, winter,
and spring are much more subtle. Here I don’t have snow or ice to
change the color palette, I have light. And so, being that it’s the
most distinctive character of my current landscape, I’ve been watching
it closely. I’ve been paying attention to the way it directs the flora
and fauna, how it opens up the space around me or closes it depending on
the hour. I’ve been observing what the light does when it stretches to
claim a few more seconds and minutes each evening. How it reveals new
worlds with every passing angle and hue as it falls just below the
curve. I’ve been watching the way simple shifts in perspective can
completely transform the environment around me, and I’ve been inspired
to follow the example.
SouleMama: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?
Sarah : Today it's:
