SouleMama: How do you come up with new designs and ideas?

Sarah  : I keep a design/idea journal which has lots of random writings, torn images out of magazines, small sketches, and photographs that I like. Even when they are not directly related to toys and Waldorf philosophy there is something to be learned from all kinds of other people's creative work. My current favorite book is Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Ever Told You About Being Creative.   

SouleMama: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?

Sarah: “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”  ― Plato

SouleMama: What's the product that you are most excited about in your shop right now? Tell us about it.

Sarah  : Our new enchanted playsilks and new blended colors of silk scapes are fun. For the most creative play, I am a fan of the least "formed" toy. So more imagination is involved in the play. These new playsilk colorways are inspired by colors of the sea, fire and blossoms in nature but can be used in so many ways.
