Today, we bring you a giveaway from SouleMama Sponsor, Nova Natural Toys & Crafts. In their words:
"We provide toys and crafts that inspire and encourage children and families to learn, share and play together. By selling toys made in Europe, the U.S. or in fair trade businesses, we ensure that our products are as good for the people producing them as they are for our customers. Because our products are made primarily of natural materials like wood, cotton, silk and wood, we ensure that they are renewable and safe. It goes without saying that they are also fun!"
SouleMama: How do you keep yourself motivated as a business?
Nova: While we know that technology will be a part of our kids' lives at some point, we know that it doesn't have to be now. Grounding them in natural forms and materials and leaving them free to experience their own imaginations will hopefully make them more connected to and respectful of the Earth and other people. Knowing that we can be a part of that critical part of their lives motivates us to do what we do.
We have always had our kids be the first testers of any toys we add. As they've gotten older, we've started adding some new products like all the ones in our juggling and balance section like slacklines, diabolos and juggling sticks. Of course, all the families that we photograph are kind of like family to us; we photograph them as they grow and change, moving from the baby hammock and teething dolls to the trucks and dolls.
SouleMama: What advice do you have to a new artist/crafter/maker looking to make a business out of their passion?
Nova: Contact us! We're always on the lookout for new great ideas for unique toys and crafts (and kits) that will inspire the next generation of little ones (and big ones too!). We also love working with small shops and creative craftspeople to bring their ideas to market.
~ Jenny's Kitchen(Simple and compact, this new Elves & Angels kitchen design features a top shelf for displaying and storing dishes. Like our other kitchens, the oven and cabinet compartment provide lots of storage space and endless opportunities for cooking fun.The simple slot-together assembly takes only a few minutes so your little cook can get right to work!)OR~ Selection of Juggling and Balance Toys : Slackline, Walking Blocks & Diabolo(Older kids can still count on Nova for fun activities like this group of balance and juggling toys! Our Slackline has been very popular. Strapped between two trees, it's a portable balance beam. Stomping around on our Walking Blocks, kids learn balance basics that will help them move onto stilts. Here in the Northeast, we enjoy Circus Smirkus and their amazing performers who make Diabolos fly into the air and then catch them. Our kids have enjoyed trying to learn those skills themselves and even if they're not as good as the pros, they sure have a fun time trying.). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We've been considering a slackline for a little while now. Not sure who would use it more- the kids or adults!
