Late, late, late last night as I happily and finally crashed into my own bed, I closed my eyes and saw rows upon rows of wooden rolling pins and spools and linens, abruptly interrupted at every corner by another mid-century modern chair. What a day at Brimfield! It would be impossible to take it all in (someday, I'm going to make it a two-day trip, I really am), but we certainly soaked up the sights and sounds (and smells?) from where we did roam. From beautiful to gaudy, hopeful to sad, inspiring to quirky - each thing having a story to tell....and so many people around, interested in that story on the buying or the selling end. It's a fascinating place to visit, and a lovely day with friends amongst all the treasures.
Tomorrow I'll share my finds. I think today is calling for a quiet walk in the woods!
