You'll have to be patient with this Mama today for flooding you with all these photographs of my baby girl. Honestly, I couldn't stop myself from including a single one of them in this post. She is such a sweet pea, this girl of mine. And these photos, well, they capture for me all that she is right now. I could see her in this sweater just the second I chose the yarn and cast on for it, and pictured that during the knitting. I do love when a project comes together that way - almost on its very own. Everything about this one suits her, I think. And she was happy for her jacket (I know, it's a sweater, but she calls it a jacket and so a jacket it shall be), and never minded that it arrived a week late for her birthday. Her very own watering was delivered to her little hands on her actual birthday, and I think that's all she really needed or wanted in all the world. Oh, she loves that 'can can' of hers, my garden helper.
The lilacs - her birth flower, and the color that I think of when I think of Annabel - are fast fading for this season. I try to imagine what she'll be like next time they come around, and it makes me smile. Blooming, blooming, this little one. Every day.
