Good morning! I'm writing to you today from Hardwick, Vermont. I'm here for just a little bit by myself and feeling fresh this morning from a delicious dinner at Claire's (with their fantastic new chef), followed by a stay at the lovely Kimball House. I'm learning on these solo trips of mine that as much as I wish it did, my body just doesn't want to sleep in like it did once upon a time before children. Whether there is actually a child at my side or not, my internal clock says it's time to get up and feed the children and get to work! No matter though, a bed all to myself (that Annabel's a dream baby and a bed hog too, I tell you), a soak in a tub (galvanized batthub just got added to my someday wish list), and a bit of reading and knitting in bed in the morning is all a very delightful thing to make up for missing the cuddles and snuggles of my babes.
Enough lingering around in the quiet, it's time to get myself downtown for the reason I'm here. A little more Taproot work and play...in our newish downtown Hardwick office space. It feels a little bit just like home, though I do think that dreamy yellow settee would fit nicely into my own home in Maine, now don't you agree? Hmnn...
Have a lovely day, friends!
