As we instinctively shy away from the long lines and crowded spots full of summer visitors to Maine, we sometimes - rather unintentionally - miss out on visiting some of our favorite places. And before we know it, it's been so long since we've done this, done that, or been here or there, that it's all entirely new to the littlest one, and an absolute treat to the others. The rest of us, really...simple and special little treats. Like being a tourist in our own little corner of the world. I want to do that more often.
