How are you doing, friends? Are you enjoying your holidays? Are you reveling in the nothingness that comes this week after and before? I hope you are. I hope you are sinking into the fullness around you - embracing the mess and the beauty in the chaos and the imperfections that make these celebrations so fully alive.
Here, we are trying our best to do just that. There has been an ice storm. And snow that keeps falling. Chores to keep up with. Traditions and parties to attend. And a new family member to welcome into the fold of home. There have been games and fireside knitting and mimosas nearly every day (oh my) and sometimes pajamas all day, and so much goodness that comes along with abandoning the to do and should have list and just enjoying what is. For what is...well, that is lovely. And this in between time? My favorite, really. Days of nothingness. Oh sure, there are still two more parties to host and some presents to still (!) make, but the overriding theme of these days is of being together and embracing that first and foremost. Celebrating the light that connects us all. Home and hearth.
I'm going to dive back in. But before this weekend starts, I want to wish you many more days of just the same. Enjoy!
