Christina: Heart based.
SouleMama: What role does 'handmade' play in our society?
Christina: I think in a world of disconnect with our phones and how we interact with eachother I feel handmade will grow in importance and value. I feel like there is a swing back to a deep appreciation of craft both in the value of the actual goods and in the value of creating something by your own hand.
SouleMama: What does 'being creative' mean to you?
Christina: Being creative is having the feeling of timelessness. I don't think there is much better in life than the feeling of being in a creative zone. I also think that the term 'creative' has too many associations with traditional artistic endeavors - one can be creative in anything that instills that sense of connection to something beyond you. It can be something you grow or anything that really gets you all fired up.
SouleMama: What advice do you have for people wanting to be more creative?
Christina: To not get stuck on that word! Just find something you like and find out MORE about it or to DO something you like and do MORE of it! This is one of the awesome things about our world - you can find anything out about any subject and learn to do just about anything online. Dive in and get passionate. That's creative energy to me.
