Today, we bring you a giveaway from SouleMama Sponsor, Imagine Childhood. In Sarah's words:
"Outfitting Children and Families for Life's Adventures. Imagine Childhood is a family owned and operated company specializing in earth friendly goods, craft and activity tutorials and educational supplies.
Visit our Blog."
SouleMama: What's the product or offering that you are most excited about in your shop right now? Tell us about it.
Sarah: What I’m particularly excited about at this moment is our spring catalog. It’s been a really long winter (and still feels like it in most places), so it was a pleasure to put together something that was packed full of seasonal goodness. From gardening supplies to seeds, soft plush lambs, sweet baby chicks, and mud pies, each page is bursting with spring.
SouleMama: What Word describes your business best?
Sarah: I think the word that describes our business best is play. Not just for the obvious reasons, but because in everything that we share, from our blog to our book to our shop, we’re working to encourage playfulness as a perspective. Playfulness invites curiosity. It spurs creativity. It nurtures imagination.
SouleMama: What does 'being creative' mean to you?
Sarah: For me, being creative means letting go of preconceptions on how things are supposed to work, and instead, looking at how they are working and how they could work. Often we come to a situation or circumstance with a preconditioned response. We can’t help it, it’s part of our DNA. Our ability to recognize patterns and build on that knowledge is a key component of our development as humans. But in reality, each pattern that we know to be “true” actually has many different layers. If we can let go of our preconceptions, we can see every layer instead of just the one on top. We can see the infinite potential of each moment and interaction. We can see how and where they overlap and we can make new connections.
SouleMama: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?
Sarah: Right now it’s: “In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt” ~ Margaret Atwood
